ABOUT PISTOL SHOOTING QUEENSLAND

Pistol Shooting Queensland (PSQ) is the state’s peak body for the sport of target pistol shooting accountable for the growth and development of the safe and challenging sport of Pistol Shooting. We are a member of the national body Pistol Australia (PA) which provides our members with direct access to 23 events that are all graded to suit all levels of members and also includes categories for athletes with a disability. This link also provides memebrs with the pathway to international comeptitions and the only shooting body which allows members to be selected for Commonwealth and Olympic Games. Coaching and officiating training are available to all members at no cost.

As the sport’s peak body, Pistol Shooting Queensland provides leadership to over 40 clubs throughout the state. PSQ is governed by an elected Board of five members who conduct the everyday business of the sport with the assistance of an Administrator and other coordinator roles.

Pistol Shooting Queensland is located at the Belmont Shooting Complex, Brisbane – QAPSA House. We have kept a little of our history with our headquarters being known as QAPSA House from our previous name, Queensland Amateur Pistol Shooting Association.
