2026 CMP Action Worlds – Toowoomba Pistol Club
today 9, October 2025
Welcome to Queensland for this event in 2026!
We understand participants are starting to prepare for this event just as we are! We are excited for 2026.
We are currently finalising some of the logistics and once all complete we will be able to provide further details.
***If you have any questions, can you, please submit them to competitions@pistolshootingqld.org.au with the subject line CMP Action Worlds and we will respond as quickly as we can. In the meantime, there are a few Q&A’s below for reference:
Does Australia/Queensland have restrictions firearms/accessories/spare parts wanting to be imported into Australia? Yes, there are, restrictions, we are working on some of these currently and this will be defined once all the logistics are finalised – stay posted.
Can I purchase ammunition in Australia/Queensland? As you will be issued with a Qld Police Visitors Permit, this will allow you to purchase ammunition as the dealer has to do an online check of the licence – this has just been tested by our Firearms department…and it works!
Are there restrictions to the amount of ammunition I can import into Australia? This is usually controlled by the airlines, with the approved weight being 5kgs
Import and Export documentation – we will supply a link here to all the appropriate documents required for completion
Do I need to be a member of a club or association? You will need to be a member of a club in your country of residence a to be able to obtain import permits and to compete.
How long before my departure do I need to apply for my Import Permit and Visitors Licence? We suggest 3 months prior to your departure
How long before my departure do I need to apply for my Export permit (to depart Australia)? We will check a little closer to the time, but usually once you have notification that your Import and Visitor Licences are approved, you can start the Export process.
Does the Import/Export Permits or Visitors Licence cost $$’s? Yes, only the Visitors Licence costs approximately AUD$58 and has to be paid directly here at a local Police Station.
So, how do I pay for the Visitors Permit? We will have a local person that you can forward all your paperwork to and who will coordinate with the Firearms department of the Police and Australian Border Force to obtain all your document approvals, and payment will also be made on your behalf – we are here to help you through your preparations to compete here in Australia/Queensland!
Further Q&A’s will be posted here and will be collated into an Info Sheet in the near future.
