Pistol Australia and its Associations including Pistol Shooting Queensland takes integrity seriously and is committed to safeguarding our sport.
Pistol Australia Ltd has formally adopted Sport Integrity Australia’s (SIA) National Integrity Framework (NIF) which came into effect as of 1 January 2024. As a member of Pistol Australia, Pistol Shooting Queensland has adopted the Pistol Australia set of policies as listed.
The National Integrity Framework (NIF) is a set of rules that all members of our sport need to follow when it comes to their behavior and conduct in pistol shooting including obligations to report misconduct. Those rules are contained in the following policies.
Sport is an Australian way of life. We come together as one, regardless of any differences of cultural backgrounds, religious beliefs or language and it also provides social, economic and physical benefits.
These reasons are why we need to keep the sport of Pistol Shooting safe and fair for everyone who participates in our sport.
Integrity in sport means that athletes, officials, volunteers and supporters can participate in and celebrate sports, confident in the knowledge that they are part of a safe, fair and inclusive environment.
Any threats to the integrity of sport (such as competition-manipulation, doping and behaviors that impact people’s positive experience of sport, such as discrimination or abuse) are taken seriously by Pistol Australia and Pistol Shooting Qld.
All members and participants have an obligation to protect and maintain the integrity of Pistol Shooting, as well as the health and well-being of others who participate.
Pistol Australia works closely with Sport Integrity Australia, the national agency established to protect sport against any integrity threats.
