Dina Wins A Quota Place For Australia

today 8, November 2019

Queenslander, Dina Aspandiyarova won Australia a Quota place to compete a tthe Tokyo Olympics. This doesn’t secure her place in the Olympic Team it just allows Australia to have an athlete compete under that quota place. So each Quota place we win at designated ISSF events provides the number of athletes we can send to Tokyo, once athletes qualify. 2020 Olympics Criteria

Olympic selection will be underway in 2020 with the first 2 Selection Events being held in Brisbane at our very own Brisbane  International Shooting Centre and hosted by PSQ – another great opportunity for our athletes to compete against the best in the country – such great experience in their development.

Again, these events will require volunteers so we encourage anyone wanting to help out for a day or even half a day, to get involved and again be part of our sport and the future.

Civon Smith and Chris Mamozoulos also took part in the recent Oceania Championships where Dina won the Quota Place – congratulations to them both on their performances.

Congratulations to Dina.
